Organizing Your Trip
An Overview
Our slideshow is a great overview of the Yosemite Institute experience. This tool can be used to introduce administrators, parents, adult chaperones, and students to the Yosemite Institute program.
Group Coordinator
If you are coordinating this trip for your group, be sure to familiarize yourself with all of the web pages in this section on organizing your trip. Yosemite Institute staff has also developed specific coordinator tools and forms to help you start the planning process.
As group coordinator, you are responsible for pre-trip planning and are the liaison between Yosemite Institute and the program participants. It is a very big job that includes:
- Designing curriculum and recruiting chaperones
- Submitting group forms
- Arranging transportation and financing
- Preparing students and chaperones
- Managing onsite supervision of students
Chaperones and Students
The section for chaperones and students includes forms and information specifically for group participants. As participants, they are responsible for submitting completed forms to their group's coordinator and understanding all that is expected of them during the Yosemite Institute trip.
