Intro text
OPI's group enrollment summer programs are a great way to help your science class, environmental club, after school group, or scouting group members connect to each other and the natural world.
In this five-day program, your student group will explore the diverse ecosystems of Olympic National Park and take an active role in our Elwha River Project. With the removal of the Elwha Dams scheduled to take place in 2008, OPI has started a research program to monitor changes that will occur within the Elwha Watershed. This is the largest watershed restoration project in human history and you and your students have to opportunity to be involved!
As you hike along sub-alpine trails, gather data from our local rivers and walk through our amazing old growth forests, you and your students can reflect on the role you've taken in helping to conserve and restore Olympic National Parks ecosystems.
At the end of each field day students will enjoy the comfort and familiarity of the meals and accommodations on our campus.
