About Our Programs
Olympic Park Institute provides residential, outdoor science education programs to school groups, grades 4-12, in Olympic National Park.Our programs create memorable and rewarding life experiences for students and adults. Benefits include:

The Natural Wonder of Science
Olympic National Park is the perfect setting to teach:
- Forest ecology
- Watershed science
- Geology and earth science
- Elwha River science and geography
Olympic Park Institute works with Washington State agencies and programs to ensure a strong synergy between our educational programs and these academic disciplines.
Our programs are guided by the Core Educational Framework of our parent organization, Yosemite National Institutes. The framework is routinely assessed at the program and board levels and is ever-evolving, so that the best and most current teaching methods are incorporated.
Research from Stanford University and others shows that programs such as ours offer distinct classroom benefits.
Our field science educators are professionals and demonstrate the most effective teaching techniques in the field.
